As a fully equipped state of the art Pennsylvania Compounding Pharmacy, the philosophy that we practice under, when asked if we can solve a medication or dosing problem is, “we can do anything.”

Our mission is to maximize patient outcomes by working together with physicians and patients to solve individual medication administration or dosing issues. You as an individual patient are unique. You have a specific physiological make up, wants, needs, likes and dislikes. There is no one size fits all in healthcare, and that is why we compound customized medications.

Whether it is putting a medication into a transdermal form to target specific joints or limbs or avoid high systemic concentrations, making a pediatric dose when only adult doses are available commercially, compounding a medication when it is not available due to a national shortage, or preparing any dosage form necessary to get a medication into a patient when traditional methods or doses are not
appropriate, we can help.

Eric Fox is a 1998 graduate of The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where he is now an associate professor. While attending USP, Eric developed an interest in compounding as an intern at both Delco Apothecary, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, and The Graduate IV Home Infusion Pharmacy, Philadelphia. During Pharmaceutics Lab class at PCPS, his love for the practice was solidified with learning the many complicated techniques involved in the art of pharmaceutical compounding, segundum artum.

While in pharmacy school, Eric worked summers at the US Food and Drug Administration, first as a civilian in 1994, then as a uniformed officer in the Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service (USPHS) in 1995. As a USPHS officer, Eric went on to work for the US Dept. of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, graduating from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy the same year he graduated from pharmacy school. While part of the health care team at the Federal Penitentiary in Lewisburg, PA, Eric also worked part time as a pharmacist at the Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, PA, where he continued to practice IV admixture sterile compounding. He went on to work for Neighborcare Pharmacies, King of Prussia, PA, first as a dispensing pharmacist, then as a long-term-care certified consultant pharmacist. Then in 2001, Eric opened a Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Berwyn, PA, where he built a successful community pharmacy and compounding practice.

In 2003 Eric joined Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) and completed their compounding certificate program the same year. Eric became the President and Director of Pharmacy of the newly formed Compounding Rx Apothecary in the Spring of 2004.
